36 patients wait for a bed in St Luke’s Hospital today
The Health Minister has been accused of kicking the can down the road when it comes to dealing with overcrowding in emergency departments.
36 people were waiting on trolleys in St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny today – the fourth highest number in the country.
Nationwide there were 558 people waiting on a bed.
Leo Varadkar had said yesterday that the problem of people on trolleys will take years to fix.
