Up to 500 new jobs could be created in Kilkenny

Up to 500 jobs could be created in Kilkenny City at the Smithwicks site.

Kilkenny County Council say that new development possibilities have emerged for the area and the council say they hope now to have the area developed in time to secure the jobs and others in the future.

The council are to meet in the next few weeks to discuss the proposals.
