6 year old Carlow boy ‘in limbo’ as he is left waiting months for surgery
A Carlow boy is being forced to wait for the treatment he needs for recurring ear infections.
Finlay Racklyeft is just 6 years old. He was seen by a consultant who said he needs surgery – the HSE paid for that consultants visit but now he and hundreds of others have been put back on a public waiting list.
His mother Roisin Whitty says he needs a basic procedure to treat the problem but has been waiting 5 months already. She was forced to cancel her private health insurance due to the cost in recent years.
She told Sue Nunn this morning its very frustrating.
