70 participants set for today’s Tour de Tirlán charity cycle in Kilkenny

Three groups will depart the Collaboration Hub at Abbey Quarter from 8am, 9am and 12:30pm

The Rás na mBan may be focusing on County Laois for today’s third Stage, but you’ll still spot some cyclists out locally from this morning.

The Glanbia 300 charity cycle is in its tenth year and has been renamed Tour de Tirlán in line with the company’s new name.

70 staff members of the Kilkenny headquartered firm are set to roll out in aid of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, the Fr McGrath Centre and Amber Women’s Refuge. (You can donate online here).

Three groupings will start and finish at the business’ Collaboration Hub at the city’s Abbey Quarter – the first from 8am will complete 200km, the second from 9am are undertaking a 130km stretch while the third team is off at 12:30pm for 40km.

Company Chief Operating and Consumer Officer Jim O’Neill is among those taking part and has been speaking with our Edwina Grace:
