You’re being urged to exercise caution on the roads this evening as rainfall of up to 40mm is expected before the end of the day.
Locally, Kilkenny County Council are working to clear flooding at Clara with the road near Mark Murphy Motors currently closed and they’re also dealing with heavy flooding on the Freshford Road.
There are also reports of flooding in the Bennetsbridge, Thomastown and Kilfane areas as well as the Castlecomer to Clogh Road where Massford Cross is currently closed.
The Ballyfoyle Road, the road at Upper Tomard and areas in Bagenalstown and Leighlinbridge are also badly flooded.
