Safety fears at a Carlow school left without a Lollipop warden

A Carlow primary school has been left without a lollipop warden.

Principal at Ballinabranna National School Joe Doheny says they had a warden through the Tús scheme but when it finished in February they didn’t get a replacement.

He told KCLR Live it’s a big safety concern for them.

He’s worried the children have become so used to having a warden that they could be putting themselves in danger crossing the road.
