More than $2,000 was stolen in a Kilkenny burglary.
A house in Altamount Park off the Dublin Road was broken into last Thursday between 11am and 1.20pm.

The thieves forced their way in through the front door and took foreign currency.
They got away with $2,000 American Dollars and £40 sterling.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them in Kilkenny Garda Station.
