The final sittings of the 2021 Leaving Cert take place today.
The state exams began on June 9, this year offering students the opportunity to sit them or choose to be awarded accredited grade from the State Examination Commission (SEC) or both.
1,077 students in Kilkenny and 888 in Carlow had signed up to choose from the best of both offerings, with 1,772 overall across the two counties (973 in Kilkenny and 799 in Carlow) opting to sit the physical paper test.
15 days of testing will draw to a close today after morning sessions on Japanese, Politics & Society, Arabic and an afternoon of Physical Education are done.
