The Waterford-Dublin train was delayed in Carlow yesterday after it struck two cows

A train travelling from Waterford to Dublin was delayed after it struck two cows on the line outside Carlow.

It happened yesterday evening on the 16:05 train travelling from Waterford to Dublin.

The train was delayed for around an hour while safety checks were carried out before it continued its onward journey to Dublin.
