Carlow Roads Policing Unit warn motorists not to try mislead them with fake discs or cancelled policies

Carlow Gardaí say a significant number of vehicles have been seized this month for having no insurance.

It’s as the local Roads Policing Unit is now aided by the new insurance app on their official mobility devices.

It means they now have live access to the insurance database at the roadside.

They’re warning that attempts to mislead them a fake discs or cancelled policies will not work and are calling on motorists to ensure documentation is in order before taking to the roads.
