Mixed reaction to works underway on Barrack Street in Carlow town

Carlow town’s Barrack Street’s a busy spot but there appears to be some confusion as to what’s happening with a row of long-vacant houses.

Their facades of most remain but behind the outline of the front door and windows the rest has been demolished – with two units fully knocked to allow for a passageway that would provide an easy link between The Fairgreen & Carlow shopping centres. It appears many people are unsure as to what’s going on as some on local streets have been outlining to KCLR News.
