Carlow homeowners affected by defective concrete blocks can soon apply for remediation grant

Carlow homeowners affected by defective concrete block will soon be able to apply for a national remediation grant.

The Department of Housing officially designated the entire county area eligible for the grant scheme following an order signed over the summer.

Local council management confirmed that they have engaged with those affected by the defect and will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months

CEO Coilín O’Reilly has been telling KCLR News’ Ailbhe Gavin that paperwork will be sent out to those eligible for the grant, rather than asking them to apply through an online portal;
