South east set for tourism boost with 28 cruise ships set to visit the Port of Waterford in south Kilkenny

The South East looks set to benefit from cruise calls at the Port of Waterford this year.

The crew based at Belview in south Kilkenny are expecting 28 ships in all between them catering for 27,000 people.

They’ll get to visit a number of sites in Waterford city and county but also on the itinerary are Kilkenny Castle, the Rock of Cashel in Co Tipperary and Wexford’s Dunbrody Famine Ship and Hook Lighthouse.
