Warnings are being issued about the need for extra care on all routes this morning.
There’s been quite the rainfall and surface water’s been reported on many roads across Carlow and Kilkenny.
Waterford in particular is expected to be hard hit with a status yellow notice in place until midday with that potentially spilling into south Kilkenny.
It’s as Met Éireann’s forecasting another dull or overcast day with further spells of rain, heavy at times in parts.
But it’s looking up for Leinster later with drier and brighter weather due.
Mild and humid with temperatures of approx 11 to 14 degrees expected with some breeze across our region.
