New Kilkenny city Mayfair library opens to the public today

There’s huge excitement in Kilkenny today as the city’s new library opens its doors.

Set in the Abbey Quarter, on the grounds of the former Mayfair Ballroom, the facility was officially unveiled by Minister Heather Humphreys yesterday.

Former and current librarians gathered with other invited guests for the reveal.

And from 10o’clock this morning many more are expected to turn up to check it out.
