Kilkenny and Carlow publicans facing further misery with price hikes

The price of Heineken draught products is set to increase by approximately six cent this month. Publicans have been informed that the 2.8% price hike will take effect on February 24th.

This follows a similar increase earlier this week, when Diageo raised the price of its products by 6 cent per pint.

Pat Crotty, CEO of the Vintners Federation of Ireland and Kilkenny native, said “Publicans are being hit by a series of price hikes, adding further pressure on an industry already grappling with recovery.”
