A local businesswoman has paid tribute to the hard work of her team, after she was shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
CEO and founder of Teac Tom Angela Hayes has been shortlisted for the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award in the community impact category, at the PwC Image magazine businesswoman of the year awards.
The awards will be held in The Clayton Hotel in Dublin on the 25th of April.
Speaking to KCLR News, Hayes spoke about the success Teac Tom has had in the community.
“I’m super excited about this opportunity to represent the organisation, and I’m very proud for myself, and for the community that I live in and work in, and for the people that I represent” she said.
Continuing, she noted that “The work that is being carried on in Teac Tom everyday and over the last 11 years, its been a huge challenge in raising awareness for the work that Teac Tom do, and I am delighted that 11 years on, we are still here in the community.”
