A Yellow Status warning for Thunderstorms has been issued for Kilkenny and Carlow for this afternoon.
It includes Wexford, Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and is in place until 6 pm this evening.

The national forecaster says there is a moderate chance of thunderstorms which may result in localised flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travel conditions.
