Kilkenny Castle remains closed this morning following a power outage which forced it to close its doors yesterday afternoon.
They’ve identified the cause of the issue and a spokesperson for the Castle says they hope to be reopen later later this afternoon.

The castle park, however, remains open to the public while anyone with online bookings will be refunded as soon as possible.
Kilkenny Castle attracts in the region of half a million visitors annually.
