A car went on fire in Kilkenny city last night, as occupants hospitalised

A number of people were taken to St Lukes Hospital after a car went on fire in Kilkenny City last night.

It happened on Lower New Street in the city at around 10:30 pm.

Two people who were in the car have been taken to St Lukes following the incident but the extent of their injuries is unknown

Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating the incident but are not treating it as suspicious at this time.
