Investigations continue into a fatal road incident on the Kilkenny / Waterford border.
A man aged in his late forties, who’s understood to be from south Kilkenny, was struck by a car at Sallypark at about 2am yesterday (Sunday) morning.

No body else was injured in the incident.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the route between Rice Bridge and the New Rath Road roundabout was closed for a time.

Anybody who was in the area between 1:30am and 2:15am and who might have footage is asked to make it available to gardaí.
