Man due before courts in connection with fatal assault in Waterford city

A man’s due before the courts in connection with a fatal assault in Waterford city almost four months ago.

A man aged in his seventies died in hospital two days following the incident at a residential property at St Catherine’s Grange on the afternoon of 1st August.

This morning a man aged in his thirties was arrested and charged in connection with the investigation and he’s due before Waterford District Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.
