A meeting of County Councillors from Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford hope that drawing Dail attention to the stalled redevelopment of the N24 between Grannagh and Cahir will kickstart the long-awaited project.
On foot of last night’s meeting in Carrick-on-Suir, a topical issue on the status of the proposed development will be put to Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien by Tipperary TD Mattie McGrath tomorrow.
Speakng to KCLR News, South Kilkenny Councillor Pat Dunphy said it was high time that the project was advanced.
“We’re worried that everything will stop. A lot of work has to be put into that road and the N25, I should say also getting those roads up to this point and it can’t stop at this stage you know there’s a lot of accidents, they’re dangerous and we need to have all that upgraded as quickly as possible.”
