Carlow’s set for a glow-up and a very special visitor.
Santa starts with a bus tour of Carlow to help spread the joy with quick stops in Bagenalstown at 12:30pm and Tullow at 3pm before pulling up at Lightfest for 6pm.
The Féile Lonrach or Festival of Glow is the main attraction in Carlow town with music, family fun, food & product stalls and more from 3:30pm.
The music will draw to a close when Santa arrives (6:10pm) which will spark a fireworks display and the switch-on of the Christmas Lights.
To facilitate the gathering there will be several temporary road closures and restricted access points for the duration of the event, including on Cox’s Lane, Centaur Street, Hay Market, Church Street and the Barrow track while Carlow town hall car park will be closed all day.
Pet owners and those who have sensory sensitivities or noise-related concerns should be aware that will include loud bangs & flashing lights.
