It’s a wet and wintry start to the week as we welcome December.
No real surprise, given the month we’re heading into, but it’s easy to get distracted so extra care’s advised.
A status yellow weather warning remain in place this morning for Waterford, Cork & Kerry until 9am while a separate one for Wexford runs to 10am.
Already, localised flooding has been reported across the country with surface water on the roads – motorists are asked to exert caution.
For Carlow and Kilkenny Met Éireann’s forecasting a cloudy today with persistent rain initially which will become patchier through the day but will clear later in the evening with highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.
