Motorists warned that gardaí are out in force across Carlow and Kilkenny from today

Motorists can expect a concentrated focus on road safety across Carlow and Kilkenny today.

The Garda national campaign for the lead-in to Christmas kicked off yesterday but today will see local units out in force.

It’s in a bid to curtail the number of crashes which so far this year have seen eight lives lost locally.
