Very different scenes in parts of Carlow and Kilkenny this lunchtime.
While the sun shines in some spots, roads have closed in pockets of both counties where rivers continue to rise and spill out.

Freshford-based Councillor Michael McCarthy (FF) has repeatedly drawn attention to the €3.8 million in flood relief funding promised for Freshford in 2018 which has yet to be delivered upon.
