County Carlow community to get €500,000 towards sports arena upgrade

There’s great news for one county Carlow community which has been fundraising to boost local facilities and create a hub for all.

The people of Leighlinbridge have banded together in a bid to upgrade their sporting arena The Superbowl with plans to provide a community hub that would cater not just for the crews at Naomh Bríd GAA and Vale Wanderers but others, with efforts including the recent Hollywood style screenings they put together with , holding the awards ceremony at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel (more on that here).

Now it seems they’re to get half million euro from Leader to help with the project.
