It’s a cold start for Carlow and Kilkenny ahead of the latest weather warning.
Many locally are waking up in subzero temperatures with frost and ice in parts, though it’s beginning bright.
Met Éireann’s forecasting a dry day with cloud set to thicken from the southwest through the morning and afternoon in highs of just four to seven degrees, with mostly moderate easterly winds
It’ll turn colder and wetter later though – both counties with Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Dublin have a rain warning in place from 11pm with a risk of flooding.
At the same time there’s a wind notice for Wexford, Wicklow, Dublin, Meath and Louth while from 2am tomorrow (Wednesday) a status yellow rain and snow advisory’s been issued for Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.
