Carlow are heading to Croke Park after a dominant performance secured promotion and a place in the Division 4 final.
A comprehensive 4–22 to 2–5 win over Leitrim sees Carlow advance to the decider, where they will face Longford this Saturday at 5pm.
The game will be broadcast live on KCLR.
Carlow delivered one of their most impressive performances in recent years. Conor Doyle contributed five points on the day and said afterwards that the display had been coming.
“It was probably our best ever performance for us. Joe (Murphy) always said someone was going to get a beating one day, and thankfully it came today. We were unbelievable today — hopefully we can bring that into next week.”
With promotion secured and confidence high, Carlow now turn their attention to the Division 4 final as they look to finish their league campaign on a high in Croke Park.
