Carlow rugby player Stephen Smyth has signed his first professional contract with Leinster Rugby.
The former Kilkenny College student has already featured for Leinster’s senior side, and may have added further appearances but for injury setbacks.
Smyth began his rugby journey with Carlow Rugby Club, before progressing through the provincial ranks, where he captained Leinster at both under-18 and under-19 level.
He currently plays his club rugby in the All-Ireland League with Old Wesley RFC.
