The N77 Ballyragget Village to Ballynaslee Road Improvement Scheme, which delivered almost two and a half kilometres of new national primary road for North Kilkenny, will be officially opened later this morning.
The realigned route between Ballyragget and Durrow has removed a bend immediately north of the Tirlán plant and provided a significant safety improvement on one of Kilkenny’s busiest roads.
Though costly and at times impacted motorists, Kilkenny County Council Cathaoirleach, Cllr Mary Hilda Kavanagh, believes the end result was well worth the wait;
