A Garda investigation’s been launched into a fire at a home in Waterford city.
It happened just before 3am yesterday (Thursday, 16th April) in the Lisduggan Big area.
Emergency services attended the scene at a residential property – it was then preserved for technical examination.
A man aged in his fifties was taken to University Hospital Waterford, it’s understood his injuries were non-life-threatening.
Gardaí are calling it ‘an incident of suspected criminal damage by fire’ and are appealing for information. In particular they’d like to speak to anybody who saw what happened or who noticed suspicious activity in or around Larchville between 2am and 3:15am on the morning in question.
