Playgrounds in Carlow and Kilkenny in funding boost

Two local playgrounds have been named among those set to share €600,000 funding pot.

Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley has announced the recipients of this year’s Capital Grant Scheme for Play and Recreation for each local authority area across the country.

€20,516 is coming the way of Tullow Town Park for the installation of a multi-use games area while improvements to the tune of €17,415 can now be made at the facility at Fairview, Graignamanagh.
