“Money should not be a barrier to children playing sport” says Carlow Kilkenny TD Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere

“Money should not be a barrier to children playing sport”. 

That’s according to Carlow Kilkenny TD Peter Chap Cleere who has raised in the Dáil proposals for a 20% tax relief on membership fees for sporting organisations.

A report he commissioned showed the average annual such spend is around €415 per person.
