Rare flat-head Mayfly spotted in county Kilkenny

A rare flat-head Mayfly’s been spotted in county Kilkenny.

Dan O’Neill was fishing at George’s Wall on the grounds of Mount Juliet Estate in Thomastown when he spotted it landing nearby.

It later transpired one hadn’t been documented in our area since the 1930s.
