Ireland punching above its weight says European Affairs Minister at Kilkenny gathering

Despite its size Ireland is punching above its weight according to the European Affairs Minister.

Thomas Byrne was guest speaker at an interactive workshop for Transition Year students hosted by Ireland South MEP Billy Kelleher.

Students from across Leinster gathered at the Newpark Hotel to discuss Ireland’s priorities ahead of its upcoming EU Presidency and debate key issues facing the European Union.

Minister Byrne told KCLR News that Ireland is lauded across the European Union for coming from zero to hero;
