Concerns have been raised over gaps in the Carlow Town bus service, particularly in the Graiguecullen and Tullow Road areas.
Councillors say some residents are being forced to walk long distances to access a bus stop, despite strong public demand for the service.
The local authority’s still awaiting a meeting with the National Transport Authority after issues were first highlighted a number of years ago.
Cllr. Ken Murnane says that the NTA need to meet officials immediately telling KCLR News’ Dermot Keyes; “There’s a completely different senior management that did the deal and made the agreements with us so we, I personnelly, haven’t talked to the person responsible for the Carlow section of the NTA, but I do hope to get to talk to him soon but the Executive are adamant that the NTA need to come in and address a county council meeting”.
