Unbeaten Kilkenny professional boxer, Brandon McCarthy, returns to the ring Saturday night for his 7th bout as a professional.
Hailing from Clogh, County Kilkenny, McCarthy won 16 National Titles as an amateur, before making the jump to professional boxing in 2024.
Since then, he has been based in Los Angeles, California and trains out of the famous Wild Card Boxing Gym under Marvin Somodio.
He faces a gritty American opponent in Ezequiel Flores on DMG Boxing’s ‘Champions of Tomorrow’ card, which takes place in Long Beach, California.
Irish fans can follow the action via Pay-Per-View on Adrenaline+ from 2AM Irish time.
KCLR’s Owain Comerford caught up with Brandon to talk about his career, the upcoming fight, and ultimately what’s next.
