Five local venues are among 60 to get funding in support of their live music offerings.
The Government’s Grassroots Venues Support Scheme aims to enhance the showcasing of the talents of emerging artists across Ireland.
None of the awardees are in Carlow but in Kilkenny city €20,000 each is going to Set Theatre at Langton’s, Cleere’s Bar & Theatre as well as Billy Byrne’s with €6,000 for Abbey Lane at Mick Doyle’s in Graignamanagh and €5,000 for The Salmon Pool in Thomastown.
