Carlow Older People’s Council gets information roadshow series rolling

Older people in Carlow are being encouraged to attend a community safety roadshow in Hackettstown today.

The event, organised by Carlow County Council and local agencies, will provide advice on how to be prepared for severe weather, look out for fraud awareness and getting your home retrofitted.

Organisers say the face-to-face events are especially important for older people who may not have access to online information and supports.

Age Friendly Programme Manager Martha Jane Duggan told KCLR they want to roll out a new initiative.
