Kilkenny storyteller and singer Helena Byrne will launch the inaugural Lingaun Valley Solstice Festival tonight.
The week-long celebration highlights the unique heritage, music, and folklore of the Kilkenny and Tipperary borderlands.

Local events across the week include heritage walks at Knockroe Passage Tomb and a community storytelling night at Kilkieran Barn.
The festival is co-funded by the Kilkenny LEADER Partnership.
