There was a loud response to a proposed cycle track that would link Graiguecullen and Carlow town at a public meeting on the matter.
Cllr John Cassin had organise the gathering to discuss the planned 750m Church Street Pedestrian & Cycle Scheme which aims to run from Barrowvale Housing Estate in County Laois to Church Street serving Oakley Park, St. Fiacc’s National School (rear entrance) and Governey Park before extending to Sleaty Street and the entrance to Carlow Town Park (Find more here).
We’re due to hear from Cllr Cassin on The KCLR Daily (10am-1pm) – you can add your opinions on this topic, or others, by text/whatsapp to 083 306 96 96.
Carlow Mayor Paul Doogue was at the get-together and has been telling KCLR News that there was a strong reaction to the plans;
