DanceSport All-Ireland Championships roll out in Carlow today

DanceSport All-Ireland Championships step out at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel today.

The national event will bring together some of Ireland’s top athletes, officials and supporters for a celebration of excellence, athleticism and artistry.

Carlow County Council’s sponsoring this year’s offering – Cathaoirleach and Cllr Tommy Kinsella says; “Carlow County Council is delighted to support the DanceSport All-Ireland Championships 2026. This event highlights the very best of talent, dedication, and community spirit. Hosting a national competition of this calibre in Carlow reinforces our county’s growing reputation as a destination for premier sporting events, while also delivering tangible economic and social benefits to our community.”

The Championships will feature a full programme of competitions across multiple age groups and categories, showcasing both emerging talent and elite-level performers. Spectators can expect a dynamic and engaging spectacle, combining precision, athleticism, and creativity.
Linda Culleton, Economic Development Officer with Carlow County Council, emphasised the broader impact of the event, noting’ “Events such as the DanceSport All-Ireland Championships play a significant role in driving economic activity across the county. From increased visitor numbers to the promotion of Carlow on a national stage, this sponsorship aligns with our strategic focus on supporting initiatives that enhance local enterprise, tourism, and community engagement. We look forward to welcoming competitors and visitors alike to Carlow in 2026.”
