It’s a deceptive morning weatherwise with some pockets of Carlow and Kilkenny under fog.
From midday Met Eireann’s status yellow high temperature warning takes hold, running to Friday morning with over 25 degrees Celcius forecast.
Niall Dollard of Kilkenny Weather has been telling KCLR News’ Martin Quilty what it means;
As many prepare to cool down with a swim, caution’s advised with regards to where you choose to do that – Active Carlow has lifeguards on duty at two bathing areas in Bagenalstown from 2 to 8pm daily with 7 day duty starting at all designated spots from the 1st of July.

And while you’re encouraged to enjoy the warm weather while it lasts, you’re reminded to take all precautions for yourself and those in your care, including animals.
