Gardaí are reiterating their appeal for witnesses to an alleged assault in Kilkenny over the weekend.
It happened on Rose Inn Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man in his 30’s was taken to St Lukes Hospital following the incident where he remains in a critical condition.
A man was arrested yesterday and is due before the courts later today.
Crime Prevention Officer with Kilkenny Gardaí is Sgt Eddie Brennan.
“What we are looking for is anyone that was in the Rose Inn Street area or maybe around The Parade, they may have witnessed the incident or they may have used a mobile phone or they may have been driving and may have some dashcam footage. Anyone that was in the Rose Inn Street area between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m, we’re looking for anyone that was there maybe to come forward with information.”
