Singer and songwriter Catherine ‘Cat’ Dowling to be laid to rest in her native county Kilkenny

The life of a well-known singer and songwriter will be marked in her native south Kilkenny later today.

Many tributes have been outlined for Catherine ‘Cat’ Dowling who died last week.

The indie-pop artist and mother of three was a daughter of the late Richard Dick Dowling, a former Fine Gael representative.

Her funeral takes place at lunchtime in the Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank after which she’ll be laid to rest in Glenmore Cemetery.
