The company seeking to develop a €2billion long duration energy storage facility near Rathoe held a seven-hour community information session in the Carlow village yesterday.
The community there says it’s not opposed to renewable energy but is fearful of the unproven technology they claim is at the heart of the plan.
A spokesperson for Net Zero Energy which is behind the Rathrush project says the team learned a lot from the gathering.
Hear from representatives of both sides in our main morning Local News bulletin at 9am and we’ll have more on The KCLR Daily 10am to 1pm with KCLR News’ Dermot Keyes who was at the meeting.
