Amber to work with schools, communities, Gardaí and frontline services after funding boost

Amber Women’s Refuge says it can now take a more proactive approach to preventing domestic abuse across Kilkenny and Carlow.

Communications and Training Officer Naoimh Murphy says the funding announced yesterday will support work with schools and community groups.

She added it’ll also help Amber work with Gardaí and frontline services, while raising awareness of domestic abuse and where people can go for support.

Ms Murphy told KCLR that often when women seek help its too late.
