Community safety fund to support Amber women’s refuge services

Amber Women’s Refuge in Kilkenny is receiving funding from the Community Safety Fund.

The money will support the refuge’s work with women and families affected by domestic violence.

Fianna Fáil TD Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere has welcomed the funding, which comes from proceeds seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau and An Garda Síochána.

Deputy Cleere said the funding will help Amber continue that essential work and ensure that survivors can access vital support when they need it most
